我第一次聽到這首歌，是在幾年前電視劇『薰衣草』的原聲帶，由齊豫翻唱。第一次聽，就很喜歡這首歌，在細聽歌詞之後，原來述說的因為戰爭產生的分離和悲傷，適逢當時英美攻擊伊拉克，對於這首歌的感觸就更深了。

這幾年，我的音樂列表中一定有這首歌，車上CD也是，最近對於這首歌又有新的感觸，再找了歌詞溫習，才發現又是Chis de Burgh的作品！原來Chris de Burgh在1997年還曾經來台灣開過演唱會，可惜那時還不知道有這樣一位遊吟詩人般、又充滿人文關懷的歌手。
